Recipe
Samosas

1 tbsp cooking oil 1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp ginger 1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp curry powder 1 lb ground beef
1 tomato, chopped (optional) ¾ cup cooked peas, frozen or fresh
1 pkg. Egg roll wrappers fat for deep frying

Put oil and onion into frying pan. Fry until browned. Add ginger, garlic powder and curry powder. Cook and stir for about 2 minutes. Add ground beef and tomato and scramble-fry. Stir in peas. Allow cooking.
Cut egg roll wrappers diagonally into 4 triangles. Put about 1 tbsp of mixture in center. Moisten edges with water. Fold over and press to seal. Fry in 375°F fat until golden brown, turning once.
To reheat, place on baking sheet in 350°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
Note: Wonton skins may be used. They are a bit thinner.
May be baked in 450°F oven for about 10 minutes. They don’t get as bubbly- brown in the oven as when deep-fried.
